Veronica, East Los High
Veronica (Jacqueline Grace Lopez)
On teen drama East Los High, Veronica (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) met questioning lesbian student Jocelyn Reyes at a poetry recital in season 2, episode 4. Then, in episode 5, she sat with Jocelyn for the LOL comedy show that followed the poetry recital. When Jocelyn pointed out that the acts contained a lot of lesbian humor, Veronica responded that LOL stood for Lesbians Out Loud. When she then asked Jocelyn out on a date, Jocelyn reacted with surprise, leading Veronica to question whether she was “out”.
After Jocelyn was outed at school and seemed to come to term with her sexuality, Veronica returned in episode 10 as Jocelyn’s party date, though she spent the evening tormenting Jocelyn’s crush Camila and acted as the catalyst of Camila’s jealousy. Except for a phone call in a later episode, we never hear Jocelyn mention Veronica again.
