In One Mississippi, Tig Notaro’s somewhat autobiographical Amazon sadcom, Tig is a comedian, radio host and cancer survivor. In the beginning of the series Tig needed to go back to her hometown in Mississippi to turn off her mother’s life support system.
Tig was also in a relationship with Brooke, but their relationship had cooled down and eventually Tig broke up with her in episode 4, after getting hit on by Jessie. Tig and Jessie had sex the fiollowing episode, which was the extend of their storyline. In episode 6 when Tig came to get her stuff from Brooke’s house, Brooke introduced Tig to her new girlfriend Rocky, whom she had met in summer camp and had recently started dating. Brooke was last seen watching Tig leave while hugging her new girlfriend.
During the series it was also revealed Tig was abused by her grandfather when she was young.
The show was renewed for a second season.
