Sydney Feldman, Transparent
Sydney Feldman (Carrie Brownstein)
On comedy series Transparent, Sydney is the bisexual best friend of Ali, the youngest of the Pfefferman children whose father coming out as transwoman is the main focus of the series.
In season 1, Sydney had sex with Ali’s older brother Josh. Later in class, Sydney told Ali that she has had sex with their Gender Studies professor, Celeste, who was giving the lecture. Celeste was a one episode cameo role for series creator Jill Soloway. By the end of the first season, Sydney confessed to Ali that she had feelings for her, and asked if they were reciprocated.
Early in season 2, Ali finally kissed Sydney and they ended up making out. Later, they ended up in bed naked together, implying that they were going to have sex and spent considerable time together in the following episode.
Though they continued their relationship for the next few episodes, Sydney started to feel that Ali wasn’t really into the relationship and she broke up with her by episode 8.
Sydney left the show after the second season and was not seen in Season 3.
