In the fairy tale fantasy series Once Upon A Time, Ruby, also known as Red Lucas (aka Red Riding Hood) was introduced as a young woman who discovered she was also a wolf.

In Season 1, episode 15, Red met Snow White in the Enchanted Forest, and helped her to escape from the Evil Queen. The two worked together to attempt to kill a wolf that was terrorizing the area, gradually leading them to believe the wolf is Peter, Red’s lover. However, Red soon discovered that she is in fact the wolf, and inadvertently killed Peter.

Season 5

Later, she returns in Season 5 episode 18, when she meets the character of Dorothy and falls in love with her in the course of a single episode. At first, she didn’t dare tell her feelings to Dorothy, but after Dorothy was put under a sleeping spell by an evil witch, she is able to overcome her fears and attempts to give Dorothy a kiss in order to break the curse. It turned out to be a “true love’s kiss” and the spell was broken. However, Red and Dorothy disappear from the show shortly after and are not seen again.
