Robin Gallagher (Julie Benz) was introduced in as a stripper at Double D’s, a strip club left to Susan Mayer. When Susan sold her half of the business, she convinced Robin to quit and got her a job at her school instead. When Robin was later fired after it was revealed she used to be a stripper, she then moved in with Susan and her husband, Mike. The other women of Wisteria Lane were less than pleased to have their husbands, boyfriends, and sons leering at Robin, and they all to judged her prematurely, before they realized that Robin was a genuinely nice person and much more than a reformed stripper.
Robin then decided to move in with Katherine Mayfair, and the two become fast friends. After a night out together, Robin admitted to being a lesbian and kissed Katherine, and though this confused Katherine, she ended up sleeping with her. Over the course of the season, Robin became frustrated as Katherine was unwilling to define their relationship, or show affection in front of the neighbors. Though Robin was afraid that Katherine would kick her out, instead Katherine suggested they go away together, so they packed and went to Paris, leaving the show.
In Season 8, Katherine briefly returned to the series in the final episode, “Finishing the Hat,” where she revealed that she had made a lot of money in France but that she and Robin had broken up only three months after arriving in Paris when Katherine decided she would rather focus on her professional life.
