Regina George, Revenge
Regina George (Seychelle Gabriel)
Regina George was introduced in Season 2 of drama series Revenge as main character Charlotte’s classmate in high school. After a disastrous first meeting, where Charlotte slapped Regina after she insulted Charlotte’s sister, the two became friends. Regina convinced Charlotte to sneak into clubs illegally, and during one of their nights out clubbing they put on a show by kissing in front of cameras, and ended up in tabloids the next day. The kiss followed the classical “Lesbian kiss episode“, a trend in which a female character who identifies as lesbian or bisexual kisses a female character who identifies as heterosexual during sweeps period to try and boost ratings.
Regina developed a crush on Charlotte and became increasingly obsessed with her, spending more time with her and buying her drugs. She was also trying to get Charlotte’s boyfriend Declan out of the way by planting money on him then convincing Charlotte that Declan hit her and stole her bail money. Charlotte eventually figured out that Regina was trying to manipulate her and broke of their friendship, and Regina disappeared off the show.
