Regi Darnell, The Killing
Regi Darnell (Annie Corley)
Crime drama The Killing followed various murder investigations lead by homicide detective Sarah Linden. Regi was introduced in the first season as Sarah’s social worker from when she was a foster child, and mother–figure. Sarah and her son Jack stayed with Regi on her boat while Sarah was tied up in a murder case. It was revealed that Regi was a lesbian when she told Sarah about finding Jack and his friends drinking and smoking, and after confiscating their beers “Jack called [her] a stupid lesbo”.
Regi told Sarah she was not a baby-sitter, they had a fight, Sarah and Jack moved out, and Regi left town.
In the first episode of season 3, Regi returned briefly for her engagement party with a woman named Ellen, but was not seen again in the season. Regi and Ellen make another brief appearance in season 4 when they were shown making dinner with Jack in a short scene.
