Though long-running comedy Friends character Phoebe Buffay did not identify as bisexual, it is implied that she had engaged in sexual acts with both men and women. At one point, she was blatantly sexually aroused by Ross and Monicas’ attractive cousin, and tried to talk herself into asking her on a date.

She kissed Rachel in one episode to experience Rachel’s claim to be a fantastic kisser, saying afterwards that she’d “had better”. Phoebe said that if she had to select Monica or Rachel to have a lesbian relationship with, she would select Rachel because she is “not as high-maintenance” as Monica.
