Pam Swynford De Beaufort, True Blood

Pam Swynford De Beaufort (Kristin Bauer van Straten)
Pam was a major character on the HBO series True Blood, a vampire born the daughter of a wealthy businessman who spent most of her 20’s breaking engagements and young man’s hearts before becoming a brothel Madam. It was there she met the vampire Eric Northman, started a sexual relationship with him and was turned into a vampire by him at her request. Their sexual relationship faded over time, but they remained extremely close.
Pam and Eric co-owned Fangtasia, a vampire nightclub where she was first questioned by Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton about two murdered women. In season 3 while she and Eric were under house arrest, Eric told her that if he should die, she had to make a new vampire, because it was her time to be a maker. She at first despised Tara, who threatened her with wooden bullets and in the beginning of season 5 when asked to turn a dying Tara, she responded with “Turn her?, I don’t even like her.”
At Sookie and Lafayette’s request, and because she wanted to mend her relationship with Eric, Pam turned Tara into a vampire, though because half of her brain was missing before Pam turned her, Tara awoke a vampire with a severe personality change.
Tara and Pam became very close over the course of Season 5 and Tara began to care deeply for her new maker. At the end of the season, Tara rescued Pam from the Vampire Authority and the two shared a long, heartfelt kiss. The two continued to behave as a couple at the start of season 6 and it became evident that Pam truly did care for Tara, in her own way, though they were held in captivity by anti-Vampire forces for much of the season and had limited interaction on-screen.
“At the end Season 5, Tara and Pam shared a passionate kiss. Fans rejoiced and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen for the pair on Season 6. After last night’s [S6] finale, I can tell you the answer: Nothing.” – Trish Bendix, AfterEllen.com
Tara was killed in the first episode of Season 7 by one of the wild Hep V vamps, while fighting to save her mother.
