Nicole Wallace (Olivia d’Abo)

In the long-running police procedural Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Nicole Wallace was a serial killer and criminal mastermind whose crimes were often investigated by series leads Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames. Though accused of murdering several individuals, she was only arrested once and was found not guilty at the resulting trial. Described as a brilliant, calculating sociopath, Nicole was the only person who was ever able to get the better of Goren, and took particular delight in confronting him about his unhappy childhood.

In Season 2, episode 3, Nicole became romantically involved with a female professor, Christine, and tried to get her promoted to the head of an American Studies department at a university by killing the university’s dean and framing only other candidate for the job. At the end of the episode, Nicole ended the relationship to flee the country. Later in the second season, she seduced and married a man named Gavin to avoid extradition. In the same episode, she also seduced doctors Roger and Scott in order to steal anthrax, before sleeping with a female soldier, Connie, to gain her trust and convince her to acquire anthrax vaccine boosters so that she can buy them from her. In the next episode, Nicole killed Connie in order to steal the vaccine boosters, and later in same episode she seduced and had sex with a man named Croydon order to get him write a letter, killing him after he had written it.

In Season 4, it was revealed that Nicole’s marriage to Gavin had ended because she could not bear children. She then took guest character Ella as her new lover in order to train her to be her accomplice. However, Nicole ended up killing Ella when she turned against her and Nicole then faked her own death. In Season 7, Nicole was murdered by another serial killer, who cut her heart out.
