Nenna Ajanlekoko (Tracy Ifeachor). On historical drama Crossbones, a show centered around the fictionalized life of pirate Edward “Blackbeard” Teach, Nenna was a pirate in Blackbeard’s crew, who stole from her comrades to save enough to buy a plantation. She had a sexual relationship with her fellow pirate Charlie Rider. When she stole a jewel from brothel madam Rose, she failed to cover her tracks, and Rose confronted her.
Nenna confessed she did it for love, and when Rose called her fool, Nenna explained that she wasn’t talking about the love of a man, but didn’t specify who or what she loved so much. In exchange for her silence, Rose demanded all of Nenna’s treasures, but also offered to make Nenna happy by having sex with her, though Nenna refused. In the end, Nenna murdered Rose by slitting her throat and hiding her body, before pinning her murder on another man in order to escape. Nenna fled the pirate island and wasn’t seen in the series after that.
The show was cancelled after one season.
