Margot Bishop, The Catch

Margot Bishop (Sonya Walger)
Margot grew up in a crime family that was led by her father. After her father’s death, her brother Rhys was appointed as the leader, despite her father intending Margot for that role. This led Margot to strike out on her own along with Benjamin Jones and Reginald Lennox III. Margot is a con artist, who is willing to kill if it helps her avoid getting caught or if it gets her what she wants.
She was romantically involved with Benjamin Jones and they had been in relationship for a long time. Occasionally, their cons required them to be with other people, but they always respected that. In episode 1×01 Margot admitted to Ben that she was jealous of Alice, their latest mark, whom Ben had dated and was planning to marry as part of the con. Margot learned during Season 1 that Ben had fallen in love with Alice, which ended Margot and Ben’s relationship.
After a con fail, unable to pay money they owed, Rhys sent an assassin after them, Felicity, either to kill them or get the money back. In order to buy more time, Margot slept with her. Later on, Margot learned that Felicity was also Rhys’ lover and she tried to seduce Felicity to betray him, but Rhys found out and killed Felicity.
Towards the end of the season Margot and Rhys’ mother Sybil was revealed as the person controlling the crime family, even though Rhys was the appointed leader. At the end of the season Margot started a relationship with Jamison, Sybil’s right hand man in order to get him to betray Sybil and start working for her. Margot’s plan succeeded and she became the head of their crime family in the season finale.
Season 2
Margot was still sleeping with Jamison and dealing with someone going after her organization. Jamison along with 3 other lieutenants were killed and Margot hired Alice’s PI firm to investigate. They managed to catch a hit-man Margot then hired to track his employer.
Meanwhile Margot also started sleeping with one of the PI agents, Danny Yoon (2×03, continued in 2×04). When Ben realized Margot had stolen some diamonds from his current con, he went to see her. Margot: “We had a life together Ben, we were going to have a future together, and then you chose [Alice]. So yes, I stole your diamonds but that is nothing compared to what you’ve stolen from me.”
It turned out the person behind the the attacks on Margot was a daughter she had with Ben, that she had given up for adoption. In the end, Margot was proud that her 15 year old daughter (Tessa) had gotten that far, and they bonded (along with Ben) as Tessa started learning the “family business”.
In episode 2×07, Rhys talked about Felicity as a lover who betrayed him, and hinted that she was permanently out of the picture. In the last 40 seconds of the episode however, Felicity knocked on Margot’s door, had a brief talk that indicated Margot knew she was alive and the scene ended with them kissing.
Episode 2×08 opened with Margot and Felicity having sex, and waking up together. The morning after, Felicity said she came back once she found out Margot was in charge, to “offer her services”. They were interrupted by Margot’s daughter and the three had an awkward breakfast together. Margot hired Felicity to help her steal a bottle of scotch worth over $1 million from a casino, and then in her second scene of the episode, after a visit to the PI firm, had sex with Danny again in the elevator. Margot and Felicity stole the scotch, but Margot’s trade deal fell through and she assumed Felicity betrayed her and was working with Rhys. The episode ended with Margot showing up at Rhys’ place, holding a gun, looking for Felicity. Rhys had no idea she was alive.
In the final two episodes, Margot suspected Felicity to be behind the set backs in her businesses, while getting closer to Danny (episode 2×09), but in the finale Felicity was revealed to be working with Tessa, Margot’s daughter, in order to take over the firm.
In the end, Tessa wasn’t willing to kill Margot and turned against Felicity who was arrested by the FBI. After that Margot went into hiding with Tessa and planned to leave the country, as The Mockingbird, who was Rhys and Alice’s brother Tommy working together, had dismantled her operations in the USA. In end Margot fled the country with Tessa and Benjamin Jones who was also wanted by the FBI. Margot asked Danny to come with her, but even though Danny wanted to go he felt he couldn’t abandon Alice. Margot and Danny told each other they would see each other in the future.
The show was cancelled after season 2.

I love this resource! It has come in handy with some arguments because bi women are subject to bi-erasure, and this gives proof of that! I have a question about the use of “Danny” as Margot’s boy-toy. Are you (or whomever) referring to the character, Jay? Danny is the actor’s name.
Is there a site/database for movies somewhere? That would be a great resource for bi/pan/polyamorous references, too.
