One Big Happy is a sitcom produced by Ellen DeGeneres, about Lizzy, a lesbian, and her straight guy best friend, Luke, who decided to have a baby together.
Lizzy and Luke agreed that if by 30 they were still single and didn’t have kids they would have a baby together. Lizzy came out at 18. She and her ex-girlfriend Erica broke up 3 years before the show but she was still not over it, and kept Erica’s belongings in a closet until Luke’s girlfriend Prudence told her it was time to move on, meet up with Erica and give her her stuff back.
That resulted in Lizzy going on another date with her ex, but in the end she broke things off with Erica (episode 2). Lizzie then met Kate at her local gym and they went on a date but the relationship was abruptly halted when she realized Kate was a nurse working for her gynecologist (episode 3).
Prudence had to marry Luke so she didn’t get deported to England but Luke was late to the wedding and Lizzie ended up marrying Prudence in final episode.
The series was canceled after one season.
