Lauren Brooks, Exes and Ohs

Lauren Brooks (Chelah Horsdal) was introduced in season 1 episode 4 as a film investor who met Jennifer at a party where Jennifer was seeking funding. She offered Jennifer a deal, which Jennifer interpreted as a promise of money in exchange of sex. It may have been the case, but when Jennifer confronted Lauren about it they ended up making a regular deal for Lauren to finance Jennifer’s documentary.
Jennifer ended up backing out because she wanted to date Lauren and Lauren accepted. In the next episode it was revealed that Lauren had a girlfriend, and they had an open relationship, and Jennifer broke up with her. Lauren remained with Monique, her girlfriend.
