Judy Meyers, Red Oaks

Judy Meyers (Jennifer Grey)
Judy is part part of the main cast of comedy series Red Oaks. At the beginning of the show, she was a housewife, married to Sam and their son (the show lead) was about to leave for college. Judy and her husband were in couple’s therapy, and Judy, who married young, was trying to figure out who she was outside of being a wife and mother.
In 1×05, Judy met Gail, a yoga teacher. Judy attended her yoga class and after helping her on some suggestive poses, Gail flirted with her and invited her to a party. Judy accepted but brought her husband along. Despite this, Gail tried to kiss her before they were interrupted. Judy’s sexuality wasn’t really explored or alluded to afterwards in Season 1.
Judy and her husband continued going through the motions, but no longer in love, by the end of the season they decided to get a divorce.
Season 2
Judy got her real estate license and she and her husband finalized the divorce. In 2×03, she decided to call Gail to see if she was interested. When they met up however, Judy learned that in year that passed Gail had become pregnant, and the father of her child was her gay male friend. When Gail encouraged Judy to “get back out there”, Judy awkwardly replied with “I kinda thought that’s what I was doing”.
Gail and Judy became friends while Judy started dating Margot. She and Margot kissed a few times, but Judy didn’t want more as she wanted to take it slow and explore her independence after her divorce. The explanations why Judy and Margot ended their relationship happened after Margot left the show, over various conversations Judy had with other characters.
In 2×08, Judy and her ex-husband were talking, and he leaned in to kiss her, but Judy backed away and left. When talking to her son, Judy mentioned having dated someone, but used gender neutral words and made no mention of the fact that it was a woman.
Gail had her baby in the Season 2 finale, and Judy went to see them.
Red Oaks was renewed for a 3rd and final season to premiere in 2017.
