Jennifer, Exes and Ohs
Jennifer (Michelle Paradise) was a documentary filmmaker who was just trying to find Ms. Right, which was a nice way of saying she had a hard time letting go of an old relationship. In the series intro, Jennifer found out that her then girlfriend Sienna was having affair with her therapist and then the series jumped forward in time to the moment when Sienna was going to marry said therapist and Jennifer was invited to the wedding. It was also revealed that in past Jennifer was in relationship with her best friend Sam.
In Season 1, Jennifer had a string of failed love interests: at the wedding she hit on Heather and made out with Tasha, then dated Kate until she found out she had a son, then Charlie until she proposed a threesome and film investor Lauren until Lauren revealed she had a girlfriend and was in an open relationship. In episode 6, Sienna came back to Jennifer’s life and though Jennifer threw her out, she later woke up next to Sienna after a night of heavy drinking without recollection of how she ended up in bed with her.
In Season 2, episode 1, Jennifer was having a “nightmare” about a threesome with Sienna and Lauren. After a speed dating event, she started to date Gillian, somebody that was more than a casual fling but less than an actual relationship. Because she and Gillian were getting too close, she also decided to go on date with Valencia, which ended after she found out Valencia and Gillian used to date each other. She and Gillian decided they wanted an actual relationship. In episode 4, Jennifer learned that Gillian was still married and had a hard time getting over her ex-wife, which led to Jennifer breaking up with Gillian.
In Season 2 episode 5, Jennifer kissed best friend Sam and they two eventually realized they were in love with each other. In their last scene, after having sex, they were thinking about what they wanted to do next.
