On family drama The Fosters, Jenna was introduced in 1×05 as lead couple Stef and Lena’s long-time friend, when Jenna, her wife Kelly and their son Garret came over for dinner. The couple had been having marital problems and were considering a divorce after 20 years together.
Jenna returned for two episodes in season 3, showing interest in Lena’s coworker Monte. The two of them date briefly, before Monte broke up with her because she had feelings for Lena instead. Jenna made another brief appearance in episode 5 of season 4 at a party Stef threw for Lena. She was used to add some comic relief, acting weird around Monte, and even weirder around her ex-wife, who brought her new young girlfriend.
