Haddie Braverman, Parenthood

Haddie Braverman (Sarah Ramos): Parenthood was an American drama series centered around three generations of the Braverman family in present-day Berkeley, California. At the start of the show, teenager Haddie Braverman was a main series character, though became a recurring character for Season 4 and then had limited appearances in a guest role for the final two seasons.
In Season 1, Haddie began dating a boy, Steve, but hid it from her parents. They eventually found out, and though they appeared to accept the relationship, they secretly didn’t approve. She was also caught with drugs, portrayed as attention-seeking behavior after she felt ignored her entire life due to her younger brother’s behavioral problems. She had a close relationship with her cousin, Amber Holt, who had helped her with many issues, and though they fought after Amber slept with Haddie’s boyfriend the night they broke up, the cousins later reconcile.
In Season 2, Haddie volunteered in a soup kitchen where she met Alex. They became romantically involved, but her parents objected to their relationship because they felt Alex was too mature for her, with too many “grown-up” problems (he was a recovering alcoholic who had left an abusive home and lived alone). Her parents’ opposition to their relationship caused Haddie to temporarily move in with her grandparents, though the conflict was eventually resolved when her parents granted her permission to continue seeing her boyfriend and she returned home. In season 3, Haddie lost her virginity to Alex the night of her junior prom, and her parents found out when she misdialed them while she was having sex. Later, Alex was arrested and charged with assault after punching a guy at a house party and Haddie felt personally responsible since he was only there to pick her up. Alex soon ended the relationship with her even after the charges are dropped because he felt they were too different.
At the end of Season 5, Haddie returns home from college for a visit with family, bringing along her friend Lauren. After her brother walked in on Haddie kissing Lauren, it was revealed that Haddie was in a relationship with her. Later that night, Haddie came out to her family revealing she is bisexual. Her parents were very accepting of this news and supported her.
In the Season 6 premiere, Haddie discussed her new relationship with her cousin, Amber. In the series finale, Haddie returned to Berkeley for her aunt’s wedding without Lauren. It is unknown whether the two broke up or if Lauren was just unable to make it.
