Emily Levison, Being Human
Emily Levison (Alison Louder) was a recurring character on the show, and main character Josh’s openly gay sister. She came out of the closet as a lesbian just before Josh was turned into a werewolf and forced to disappear. In Season 1, she found Josh while visiting her girlfriend Jackie, who was a patient at the hospital in which he worked, and afterward tried to re-involve herself in his life. However, when Josh nearly killed her after she unknowingly trapped herself with him just before he transformed into a wolf, he demanded that she never see him again. Emily later returns to seek comfort with Josh after she broke up with Jackie, but she was attacked, though she later came to accept the truth about the supernatural and Josh’s condition.
Though she appeared throughout all four seasons, she didn’t have much of a storyline of her own. She was portrayed as a partier and a heavy drinker and when she last appeared in Season 4, she was fresh out of rehab.
