Eleanor Henstridge, The Royals

Eleanor Henstridge (Alexandra Park): Princess Eleanor Henstridge is one of the main characters of E!’s scripted series, The Royals. She is introduced as a self-destructive party girl princess of the United Kingdom, and the main love interest of Jasper, her new bodyguard.
In the first season, she got into a relationship with her American friend ‘Mandy’, though it turned out that ‘Mandy’ was actually a woman named Samantha who was running a con with Eleanor’s ex-boyfriend and bodyguard Jasper (while Mandy/Samantha was also in a relationship with Jasper). The feelings were portrayed as very real from Eleanor’s side and she seemingly was heartbroken when she learned the truth. In the end, Jasper couldn’t go through with the con because he had fallen in love with Eleanor. Eleanor gave Mandy/Samantha diamonds to get rid of her and though Jasper tried to get them back and convince her to stay with Eleanor, but she left anyway.
Jasper and Eleanor’s relationship is troubling. In Season 1, he blackmailed her into having sex with him, telling her he drugged her on their first night together and filmed them, and using the sex tape to blackmail her into sleeping with him. She eventually started to enjoy their time together so he stopped using it as leverage. When he eventually confessed that he was falling in love with her and that there was no tape, Eleanor fled to Monaco in order to get away and prove to Jasper that he had no power or control over her. Jasper then slept with her mother (he was blackmailed) and Eleanor found out, and had Jasper arrested. She eventually forgave Jasper, despite the con with Mandy. Season 2 showed Eleanor coming to terms with her feelings for Jasper and the season ended with them holding hands.
Her brother’s best friend Beck is portrayed as Princess Eleanor’s unrequited love interest, even though they both have strong feelings for each other.
