DeAnn Anderson, The Arrangement
DeAnn Anderson (Lexa Doig)
Drama series The Arrangement featured young actress Megan Morrison auditioning to play the female lead in a high profile film. She got involved with the “Institute of the Higher Mind” – a self-help organization for actors which manipulated their lives in various ways, including arranging relationships. The Institute was run by Terrance Anderson and his wife DeAnn Anderson and from the start of the series it was implied they both had relationships with the actors.
In episode 1×04 one of the actors, Annika, went to see DeAnn with a script she wrote. Annika then went to DeAnn’s husband, and it was implied that she had sex with him in exchange for being a part of the Institute. Her husband didn’t know about the earlier meeting so he introduced the two. Annika kissed him, then kissed DeAnn, whispering she wasn’t good at being patient. The scene implied they had a threesome afterwards.
In their next scene together, in episode 1×05, DeAnn was praising Annika’s script, said she found her writing (and her) very attractive and asked to keep her husband out of it from that point on. In episode 1×06 Annika sought her out to have sex in her car, but DeAnn stopped her when she started choking her. However, she showed up at Annika’s apartment and told her she would lie down on her bed and let Annika do whatever she wanted.
In episode 1×08 DeAnn offered Annika a contract to buy her script on one condition: for Annika to leave and not contact DeAnn, because she didn’t want people to know about their relationship. It was not shown whether Annika signed the contract but she was not seen in final two episodes of the first season.
DeAnn focused on patching up her relationship with her husband Terrance.
The show was renewed for S2, which will most likely air in spring 2018.
