Catherine Rothberg, The L Word
Catherine Rothberg (Sandrine Holt)
Catherine was a minor character in season 4, a professional gambler Helena lost $50k to in a high stakes poker game. Catherine invited Helena to her house for another game, and implied that she would demand sexual favors from Helena if she won again. She lost, but Helena started an affair with her anyway.
Their relationship revolved around poker games and horse races, with Catherine keeping the winnings, and Helena the one responsible for their losses. Helena was also forced to ignore her children because of Catherine and was seen doing menial jobs for her. Catherine made a bet on Shane and Paige’s relationship status, with the stakes being a million dollars or Helena’s services as a servant and sex slave for a year for Catherine. Helena snapped, cleaned out Catherine’s safe (and she ended up in prison because of it in season 5)
