Carmen, South of Nowhere

Carmen (Brooke Vallone)
Carmen was introduced in 3×03 “The It Girls” to have a short romance with lead character Spencer Carlin. The relationship only lasted two episodes, ending after Carmen got violent, first trashing an art studio and then, after finding out about Spencer’s ex-girlfriend Ashley, getting violent towards Spencer, calling her names and pushing her into a wall. Carmen then moved to San Diego in the following episode.
Carmen returned for the final episodes of the series 3×17 “South of Nowhere (2)”. It was revealed that she had decided not to go to San Diego with her mom, who had been abusive towards Carmen her whole life. She was living in her car, and Ashley’s sister Kyla decided to take her in and let her live with them, ensuring some awkward moments between her and Ashley and Spencer, who were back together. In the series finale Carmen tried to make a move on Ashley, telling her Spencer was leaving for college anyway, however Ashley turned her down.
