Bo Dennis, Lost Girl

Bo Dennis (Anna Silk)
Bo was the lead character and a Succubus with the power to absorb the life force, or Chi, of humans or Fae during sexual encounters. Bo was portrayed as bisexual from the start of the show and was involved in a love triangle with human doctor Lauren (Zoie Palmer) and wolf-shapeshifter fae Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried) throughout the course of the series, along with numerous other shorter lasting love interests. Although both Lauren and Dyson appeared on-screen from the pilot episode, Zoie Palmer was only a recurring character in Season 1 (promoted to series regular in Season 2), while Kris Holden-Ried was cast as a series regular from the start.
Season 1
In Season 1, Bo and Dyson initially had an arrangement in which Dyson let Bo chi-feed from him during sex, but they eventually developed feelings for each other. At the end of the first season, Dyson was tricked into giving up his love for Bo and ability to love anyone else, and Bo broke up with him after finding out he lied to her about her birth mother. While Dyson got back his love at the end of S2, he did not tell Bo and the two were exclusively friends, although Bo still had sex with Dyson to “feed”, including during Season 3 when she was in a monogamous committed relationship with Lauren. In 3×09, Dyson finally confessed to Bo that he loved her but would not interfere with her relationship with Lauren, and would wait for her.
Lauren was a human doctor and scientist, and property of The Ash (leader of the Light Fae). In the first episode of the series, Lauren offered to help Bo learn how to control her powers, and they became friends, with an obvious sexual and romantic attraction between them. However, Bo did not act on her attraction for fear that she would hurt Lauren. Bo finally gave in to her feelings when Lauren seduced her in Vexed (1×08), after The Ash commanded Lauren to find a way to distract Bo, though Bo felt betrayed by this and relations between them became tense.
Season 2
Bo and Lauren’s friendship was restored in Season 2, and they slept together again in 2×06, but experienced many obstacles, including a comatose ex-girlfriend of Lauren’s, Nadia.
In the second part of Season 2, Bo had an on-going sexual relationship with a man named Ryan. Ryan and Bo’s hedonistic relationship thrived on the fact that neither of them was interested in an emotional, committed relationship. Bo also used him to heal and he was willing to let her feed from him. After her friend Kenzi discovered that Ryan was Dark Fae, Kenzi told Bo to end the relationship, but Bo lied to Kenzi and continued the relationship behind her back. However, they both ended it after nearly marrying each other as a result of her accidentally enthralling him with her blood, which coincided with her being struck by a Fae-induced amnesia.
Season 3
In “Caged Fae” (3×01), Bo asked Lauren to be with her in a committed relationship. Although her succubus feeding needs eventually made it difficult for her to continue to be sexually exclusive, it was the first time Bo had willingly tried to be in a monogamous relationship and the first time she said “I love you” to a romantic partner (3×04). However, Bo and Lauren broke up in 3×08.
Season 4
Bo met rebel Fae character Rainer and started believing that he was her destiny and they became lovers. They were tricked by into believing they needed to become united in a hand-fasting ceremony so that he would not die, but their union caused the portal to Hell to be opened and released the Lord of Darkness. He was eventually killed off.
Bo also had a friends-with-benefits relationship with the Valkyrie, Tamsin, in Season 5, though their relationship had been teased since Season 3. Although Tamsin fell in love with Bo and confessed her feelings, Bo didn’t reciprocate.
Season 5
In Season 5, episode 2, Bo was injured and chi-fed from guest character Persephone in order to heal, which lead two of them making love. Afterwards it is revealed that Persephone was Bo’s step mother and cousin, as her husband and Bo’s father was also her uncle.
Bo and Lauren were reunited in “Let the Dark Times Roll” (5×05) in which they kissed passionately and had sex, happy to see each other again. When Bo told Lauren she could both protect and free her by claiming her, Lauren rejected being owned by Bo and chose to stay with the Dark instead, and saying to her, “You’re Fae. I’m human. So I’ll always be a prisoner. The least I can do is choose my own cage.” Bo walked away stunned. After a long separation, they made love again in “Here Comes the Night” (5×07), and Bo subsequently asked Lauren to give them a chance to be together anew, which Lauren accepted in “End of Faes” (5×08).
In 5×12 Lauren broke up with Bo, because she did’t want to burden her with her mortality. In the series finale, Dyson was the one to encourage Lauren to be with Bo, with Lauren realizing that she didn’t have to worry about her death, because Bo would always have Dyson in her life. Though Bo and Lauren ended the show together, due to Lauren remaining human and therefore mortal, it was implied that Dyson would wait for Bo until after Lauren’s death.
