Annelise (Kelly Jenrette) was lead character Jimmy’s right-hang woman, keeping his restaurant afloat. She joked in the pilot that her being a lesbian was a job requirement, because Jimmy was also a womanizer who couldn’t help himself around a pretty lady.
Annelise had no real love interests on the show, she went on one date with a guest character Jess, in episode 1×12. Jess turned out to be shady, and Annelise later told her co-workers that she was single because she had been closeted for a long time and then became too focused on her professional life to have a personal one.
