Rose (Bridget Regan), an ex-lawer turned socialite trophy wife, was introduced when she came to Luisa’s aid after the accidentally inseminated Jane. Rose was married to Luisa’s father, but she and Luisa continued having an affair, and hooked up in 1×02 and 1×03.
After Luisa returned from a drinking bender in 1×08, she told Rose she loved her and wanted to be with her, and threatened to tell her father, about the affair unless Rose came clean first. Rose instead had her committed to a mental institution. Wanting information from Luisa, Rose visited her in 1×10, bringing powdered donuts, their usual post-sex snack, said she felt terrible, and told her she loved her. They had sex again at the mental institution and Rose got the information she needed post-sex. In 1×12, Rose was revealed as a notorious drug lord going by Sin Rostro, and killed her husband, Emilio. She called Luisa, telling her what they had for 5 years was real, and asking her to run away together. In flashbacks, we see how Luisa and Rose met, at a lesbian bar, with Rose “needing to be with a woman one last time” before marrying Luisa’s father. Rose was then not seen on the show until the finale, when she kidnapped Jane’s baby.
In Season 2, Jane got the baby back, but Rose/Sin Rostro was still MIA. In 2×04, we found out Rose had an affair with Heidi Von Ocher, a professional yodeler. Rose eventually showed up again at the end of 2×11 and in 2×12 when she visited Luisa in the hospital. After a run-in with the police and almost escaping(after she shot Barnett), Rose was found lying dead on the stairwell. In the season 2 finale however, it turned out Susana Barnett was Rose (alive) wearing a face mask the entire time.
In Season 3 premiere, Luisa and Rose escaped together, and they are together on a submarine, while the police are tracking them by the trail of powdered sugar they leave behind. They appear again in 3×03, still on the submarine. There is a flashbacks to 3 months earlier, after they escaped together, and Rose told Luisa she loves her, and wants to build a life with her. Luisa answered with: “if I have sex with you once, it doesn’t mean that I’m saying yes”. Back to present-day, they continue having sex, with Luisa still angry with Rose for killing her father. Rose asks again to build a life together, and Luisa asks for the list of the people Rose killed. It’s 2 pages long.
Luisa gets an email from her brother, and Rose offers letting Luisa go home, tell her brother everything, and she would never hear from her again. Luisa goes home.
